This Grooming Tool Is A Game Changer
Seriously you'll throw out your old routine and gain a shinier, happier horse
Having a horse that is “sensitive” (read as unreasonably opinionated) about grooming can be absolute torture.
You want grooming to be a time you both enjoy. You want your horse to be clean and loved. Feel good. Have healthy skin and hair.
They don’t want to have anything stiff, scratchy, hard, loud, ticklish, or irritating touching their body. It feels like they just keep telling you you’re rubbing them the wrong way (literally). Don’t put that there. Are you almost done? Hurry it up!
Well, I think I may have found a way to avoid many of the annoying tines, teeth, bristles and still have a clean horse. The Tiger Tongue grooming sponge. I have no idea how I haven’t heard of it before now. It’s only about $10 and covers so many grooming bases it will literally change the way you groom.
It comes vacuum sealed so it’s flattened, then comes to life after you open it.
What does it feel like?
Basically, it’s a think sponge-like material that is loosely woven together making it flexible and mildly grippy without being scratchy. It’s larger than the average brush but soft enough to squeeze or fold for smaller hands and smaller spaces. It comes vacuum sealed so it’s flattened, then comes to life after you open it.
How does it work?
The mesh on the Tiger Tongue is able to grip dry skin, mud, dirt and loose hair to work them free from your horse’s body. The flexibility means that you can use it more easily on legs and boney areas than most curry type brushes. It also works great to clean whites, erase dried sweat, and buff hooves clean where a curry comb would miss dirt due to lack of flexibility. It does not work as well on excessive shedding and very thick coats.
What do the horses think?
Horses seem to love the way it works the surface of the hair without feeling like there are tines or bristles scrapping against their skin. They also are much more receptive to any sort of circular scrubbing with it so if you have a horse that hates the curry comb they may be much more appreciative of loosening up dirt with the Tiger Tongue.
Having a horse like Rudy who is sensitive and clear about expressing her opinion is awesome because it makes her the perfect product tester. She has given the Tiger Tongue grooming tool her stamp of approval.

This looks like an awesome tool! ….I wonder if it works on dogs too?
I think it would work well on short haired dogs. It’s perfect for getting rid of dry skin on the horses and leaves them really shiny.
